Embroidery is a popular and durable technique for decorating hats, offering a wide range of design possibilities from logos to intricate patterns. The front panel is the most common location, but side and back panels can also be used for creative placement.

How It Works

Design Digitization: A graphic design is converted into a stitch file that the embroidery machine can read and follow.

Hooping: The hat is carefully secured in a hat hoop with a stabilizer, which holds the fabric taut and flat to prevent any shifting or puckering.

Placement and Alignment: The design's center point is marked on the stabilizer, and the hat is aligned to this mark, often using the hat's natural center seam as a guide.

Stitching: The machine begins to stitch the design. To minimize distortion and puckering on the hat, the stitching typically starts from the bottom and center and works its way outward and up.

Finishing: After the stitching is complete, the excess stabilizer is trimmed or rinsed away, leaving the embroidered design.
