Direct To Fabric (DTF)

Direct-to-film (DTF) printing is a method for creating high-quality, full-color designs that are transferred to fabrics using heat. It involves printing a design onto a special film, applying a powder adhesive, and then using a heat press to transfer the design onto various materials like cotton, polyester, and blends.

How it Works

Design: Create your artwork in graphic design software.

Print: Print the design onto a DTF transfer film using a DTF printer.

Apply adhesive: Apply a hot-melt adhesive powder to the wet ink layer on the film.

Cure: Cure the powder using a heat press or oven. It will turn into a waxy, adhesive layer.

Transfer: Cut out the design and use a heat press to apply it to the garment. This typically involves pre-pressing the garment, applying the transfer, and then a final press.

Peel: Peel off the film to reveal the completed transfer on the fabric.
